Away from the cold and blowy

Brenda just before her pilot unlocked the door

As difficult as it was, this is what we had to leave to start our South American adventure. By difficult, I mean having to plow the snow off the ramp and talk the airport maintenance folks into sweeping a runway so we could take off. The decision was easy, somehow. Sure hope that for those left behind, March is cold enough so that there's still some ski season left on our return.

Uneventful trip to Scottsdale to pick up the owners of our steed, and today to Palm Beach, the staging point for the journey. Had our briefing by the organizers this evening, and launch to the south is in the morning.

For those of you that fly, check out the groundspeed and the fuel burn. Pretty efficient little bird.

Our Journey

We will be launching out of Florida in a few days for a 36 day tour of South America in a light twinjet (Eclipse 500). We intend to use this blog as a log of the trip with details and reflections on some of the adventures enroute. Stay tuned!
